Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the chicken breasts into a resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Cooking
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Serving
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Avoid over-marinating the chicken, and preheat the grill for best results. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it's fully cooked. Discard the marinade after use to prevent cross-contamination.
