Ingredients

For the Apple Filling
  • 2 pieces apples, peeled and diced Consider using a mix of tart and sweet apples like Granny Smith and Fuji.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Can substitute with white sugar or coconut sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Other spices like nutmeg or allspice can be used for variation.
For the Rolls
  • 1 package crescent rolls Alternative options include puff pastry or biscuit dough.
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted Can be replaced with margarine or coconut oil for dairy-free.
  • powdered sugar for dusting powdered sugar Optional, can be skipped for a healthier option.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the peeled and diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix until apples are well coated.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles on a clean surface.
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Starting from the wide end, roll up each crescent, tucking in the apple filling as you go. Place seam side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops of each roll with the melted butter.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for about 3 days. For longer storage, freeze them wrapped tightly for up to 2 months.
