- Begin by placing the cubed watermelon in a blender. Blend the watermelon until it is completely smooth.
- Next, take a fine mesh sieve and place it over a pitcher. Pour the blended watermelon into the sieve and use a spatula to push the juice through, leaving any pulp behind.
- Add the fresh mint leaves to the pitcher of watermelon juice. Gently press down on the mint leaves to release their flavor into the juice.
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. If you want a touch of sweetness, add the optional sugar and mix well until dissolved.
- Slowly pour in the water or soda water, stirring for a consistent mix.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon mint lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint.
Notes
Store leftover lemonade in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days. You can also freeze it for up to two months for future use.
